Chaser Ranks 14 Order-to-Cash Platforms for 2026: What SMEs Should Take From It

Chaser has compared 14 order-to-cash software platforms for 2026. Here’s what the guide found, and what it means for SMEs chasing late payment.

Chaser, the invoice chasing and accounts receivable platform, has published a comparison of 14 order-to-cash software platforms for 2026, rating each one on how much of the payment cycle it actually automates rather than just how it markets itself.

The guide, published on Chaser’s blog on 27 July and written by Manfredi Pellitteri, breaks the order-to-cash cycle into seven stages: order capture, credit approval, fulfilment, invoicing, collections and chasing, payment processing, and cash application with reporting.

That distinction matters more than it sounds. Chaser’s own research point is that most tools sold as “order-to-cash software” only automate one or two of those seven stages, usually collections or cash application, and lean on your accounting system for the rest.

The 14 platforms are ranked on five measures: how many stages they cover, how deep and quick the integration with accounting or ERP systems is, whether a small finance team can realistically run the platform without a dedicated implementation project, independent review scores on G2 and Capterra, and whether pricing is published or quote-only.

At the top end sit HighRadius and Sidetrade, both covering most or all of the cycle but built for large finance teams with the budget and headcount for a proper rollout. Smaller firms weighing invoice finance instead can see how Time Finance’s asset and invoice finance takeover deal compares. Chaser positions its own product for a different buyer: mid-market teams that want automated chasing and collections without that scale of implementation, and it is one of the few names on the list with pricing published rather than quote-only.

The rest of the field covers ground SME owners may not have shopped around before. Billtrust is aimed at high-volume B2B invoicing, Esker and Corcentric both claim full-cycle coverage with funding options attached in Corcentric’s case, and Quadient AR and Versapay both focus on the invoicing-to-payment stretch with a customer-facing portal built in.

For a small business, the practical read is not “which platform wins” but which stages of your own cycle are actually costing you time and cash before you shortlist anything. A firm still chasing invoices by email has a different problem to one that has automated chasing but is still waiting weeks for cash to reconcile, a gap Xero has been trying to close with its automatic bank reconciliation tools. Firms more exposed to unpaid invoices than slow admin may get more from the invoice finance route covered in our piece on Time Finance’s takeover by Ultimate Finance’s parent, while those losing money at the payment step itself should weigh up the findings in our look at the real cost of a failed card payment.

Pricing transparency is worth flagging on its own. Half the platforms in Chaser’s comparison, including HighRadius, Sidetrade, Esker and Corcentric, quote on application only, which makes them hard to shortlist without a sales call. For a small finance team trying to compare like for like on a spreadsheet, that alone can rule a platform out before its features are even weighed up, a similar problem to the one faced by firms shopping for vehicle or asset finance covered in our report on the British Business Bank’s expanded performance finance facility.

What to do next: before booking a demo with anyone on the list, map which of the seven order-to-cash stages is genuinely costing your business time or cash. If it is chasing and collections rather than fulfilment or cash application, a mid-market tool with published pricing will get you moving faster than an enterprise suite built for a finance team you do not have.
